RESEARCH PROGRAMS

Our research interests have focused on several aspects of the lobster's life cycle: habitat use of postlarvae and juveniles, predation on recently-settled lobsters, feeding mechanisms of postlarval and juvneile lobsters, and the mating habits of adult lobsters. We plan to continue research on these topics, as well as to expand our interests into following the broodstock and tying the timing of hatching of larvae to the settlement of postlarvae, determining predation pressures on juveniles in the intertidal vs. the subtidal zones, and examining predation pressures on adults.
